Head of Architectures, Standards and Technologies at the Swiss Federal Strategy Unit for IT (ISB), Bern

  • Wolfgang Tietz received his degree in computer sciences in 1979 at the University of Applied Sciences Munich
  • He worked for a semi-conductor manufacturer in Munich in the development and CAD support of customized circuits until 1985
  • From 1985 to 1993 he was in charge of the CAD activities of a design center for customized circuits that was founded by leading Swiss companies.
  • 1993 joined the Swiss Federal Administration
  • Wolfgang Tietz is Head of Architectures, Standards and Technologies at the Swiss Federal Strategy Unit for IT
  • 2006 successor to Dr. Jürg Römer who left the ISB at the end of 2006 to take over the management of the course of studies „Business Informatics“ at the Univesity of Applied Sciences Bern
  • Wolfgang Tietz has both Swiss and German citizenship, is married and has two grown-up daugthers.
