Niels Mache

• Niels Mache studied computer sciences, biology and business studies at the University of Stuttgart
• In 1992, he developed the German Linux Distribution (DLD)
• Niels Mache was co-founder and head of development of delix GmbH, which was founded in 1993, one of the first companies worldwide to specialize on the commercial development and sales of Linux operating systems
• Postgraduate in the Human Genome Project at the Institute for parallel and distributed supercomputers (IPVR)
  
• Niels Mache was director of development, Red Hat Germany, in charge of the development of the Red Hat Linux 6.1 Professional Package
• Niels Mache has published more than 50 international papers. His work has been recognised by Jugend forscht (Youth Research Competition), MasPar Computer, and he received the German Academic Software Award
