What is LiSoG?
The LiSoG - Linux Solutions Group e.V. - was founded in March 2005. LiSoG follows a clear business approach and operates transnational with offices in Hamburg, Stuttgart, Zurich and Vienna in the German speaking area. IT vendors, IT users as well as scientific partners incorporate to increase the establishment of Linux and Open Source Software in companies and the trust in Open Source solutions. “Collaborative Innovation” is the center: LiSoG initiates and advances projects catalytically to current market relevant Open Source topics where members and interested organizations together develop solutions. Furthermore, LiSoG offers a networking platform for projects, partners and interested organizations.
Members of LiSoG are IT vendors like IBM, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Novell, Red Hat, Collax, Topalis, Abraxas, Agami (Austria) and Integratio (Switzerland). Members in the user area are public municipalities like the cities Schwäbisch Hall and Freiburg as well as public organizations like the Swiss Federal Government. Banking houses like the Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank and insurance companies like Stuttgarter Versicherung are among the LiSoG members just as well as scientific partners in Fribourg (Switzerland), Heilbronn, Karlsruhe and Linz (Austria).
